This Privacy Policy describes how SproutSmarter (www.sproutsmarter.com, the "Site", "we" or "us") collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.

Collecting Personal Information
When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information about an identifiable individual (including the information below) as "Personal Information". See the list below for more information about what Personal Information we collect and why.

- Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimize our Site.
- Source of collection: collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, tags and pixels.
- Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify, and with the advertising and social platforms listed under "Behavioural Advertising" below.
- Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what pages or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.

Order information
- Purpose of collection: to provide products to you and fulfill our contract, to process your payment, arrange for shipping, provide you with order confirmations and invoices, communicate with you, screen orders for potential risk or fraud, and — where you have asked for it — send you information about our products and offers.
- Source of collection: collected from you.
- Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify, with Shopify Payments and any other payment provider used at checkout, and with the suppliers and shipping carriers who fulfill and deliver your order.
- Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit and debit card numbers, and digital wallets such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal where offered), email address, and phone number.

- Purpose of collection: to answer your questions and provide customer support, including processing returns and refunds.
- Source of collection: collected from you when you email us.
- Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our email provider and with the supplier or carrier concerned where that is necessary to resolve your enquiry.
- Personal Information collected: your name, email address, order number, and anything else you choose to include in your message.
Minors
The Site is intended for adults. We sell products for children, but the Site is not intended for or directed at individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, email us at sproutsmarter@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Sharing Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:
- We use Shopify to power our online store. You can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- Our products are shipped directly by third-party suppliers and fulfillment partners. We share your name, shipping address and contact details with the relevant supplier and carrier so that your order can be delivered.
- We share information with the advertising and social platforms described under "Behavioural Advertising" below.
- We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
We do not sell your Personal Information for money.
Behavioural Advertising
We use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Our store is connected to the following channels, which may receive information about your visit, your purchases and your interaction with our ads:
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — privacy policy · ad settings

- Shop, Shopify's own shopping channel and app.
Sharing information with advertising partners in this way may be treated as a "sale" or "share" of Personal Information under some state privacy laws, including California's, even though no money changes hands. To opt out, email sproutsmarter@gmail.com, use the ad settings linked above, or set the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honour where required.
We do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Information of anyone under 16.

Using Personal Information
We use your Personal Information to provide our services to you, which includes offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfillment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.
Retention
When you place an order through the Site, we retain your Personal Information for our records, and for as long as we need it to meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations, unless and until you ask us to erase it.
Automated decision-making
We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.
Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you. Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:
- Temporary blacklist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This blacklist persists for a small number of hours.
- Temporary blacklist of credit cards associated with blacklisted IP addresses. This blacklist persists for a small number of days.
Your rights
We sell and ship within the United States only.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it or have it sent to another service, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights; we extend them to all our customers regardless of where you live.
To exercise any of these rights, email sproutsmarter@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. If you would like to designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, contact us at the same address. If we decline your request you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of information that is downloaded to your computer or device when you visit our Site. We use a number of different cookies, including functional, performance, advertising, and social media or content cookies. Cookies make your browsing experience better by allowing the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login and region selection). Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser. We do honour the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of Personal Information where state law requires it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

If you would like to make a complaint, email us at sproutsmarter@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, residents of some states may lodge a complaint with their state Attorney General.
